Important Information Regarding JLPT 2025 A

Please be informed that this year’s Japanese Language Proficiency Test 2025 A (July paper) will be held on the 6th of July, 2025.

Please take note that in Malaysia, N1 and N2 test sessions will be held in the morning, while N3, N4, and N5 will be held in the afternoon, in alignment with the test times in Japan.

Registration will commence online at 12pm on the 17th of March 2025 and end on the 31st of March 2025, 2pm. Please visit https://www.jlsm.org/jlpt.html to register once registration is open.

For candidates wishing to take the test in Penang, please note that the designated test site for Penang is SENTRAL College.

Due to space limitations at the Penang test site, there will be a quota set for the number of candidates allowed to take the test in Penang:

N1 – 50 candidates

N2 – 70 candidates

N3 – 80 candidates

N4 – 90 candidates

N5 – 110 candidates

Once seat quotas are filled, additional applications will not be accepted for the Penang test site.

New Class Commencement: 26th April 2022 – Advanced Class (N3)

A new online Advanced (N3) class will commence on Tuesday, 26th April 2022. Lessons are twice a week, on Tuesdays (8.00 – 9.30pm) and Sundays (10.00am – 12.00pm). Please note this is an online continuation class for existing students. Please contact our Society’s office during our opening hours (7.00pm – 9.30pm on weekdays) to register and pay the fees in full. New Class Commencement: 11th February 2022 – Advanced Level (N3)

A new Advanced Level (N3) class will commence on Friday, 11th February 2022. Lessons are twice a week, on Fridays (7.30- 9.30pm) and Saturdays (2-4pm). To ensure you have a seat, please visit our Society’s office during our opening hours (7PM – 930PM on weekdays) to register and pay the fees in full. Class sizes are now limited to 17 persons on a first-come-first-serve basis in order to ensure adequate social distancing as mandated by current Government guidelines. A new Advanced (N3) class will commence on Tuesday, 9th November 2021. Lessons are twice a week, on Tuesdays (7.30- 9.30pm) and Sundays (10.00am-12.00pm). For detailed registration and payment instructions, please email casee343ster@gmail.com. Only students who have paid the fees in full are considered to be registered. Instructions on how to collect course material will be provided by your instructor upon registration confirmation. Please note that failure to settle the fees by the end of the first lesson will result a forfeit and the seat will be offered to the next eligible applicant. This is an online class with the option to switch to face-to-face if conditions permit in the future. You may refer to our FAQ for general course details and other related information. Note: in the event the MCO is prolonged, expect all lessons for this intake to be online.

Cancellation of JLPT 2021A (July 2021 Paper)

NOTICE OF CANCELLATION

With deep concern over the safety of the candidates in view of the current development of the COVID-19 situation in Malaysia, it is with great regret that the organizers would to inform the public that the JLPT 2021A (July Paper) in Malaysia (i.e., Kuala Lumpur and Penang Test Centre) will be cancelled. Your understanding on this tough decision is highly appreciated. The organizers are fully aware of the importance of JLPT to most candidates. Hence, we are continuing efforts to ensure that the JLPT 2021B (December Paper) would be conducted as scheduled within the current instructions and guidelines / SOPs outlined by the authorities. Once again, our deepest apologies for the inconvenience caused and stay safe.

Special Announcement on JLPT 2020B in Penang

We apologize for the delay in making this announcement as we were trying our best to find an alternative venue after the scheduled venue withdrew its permission at the last minute. After numerous unsuccessful attempts, we decided to use our premise to host the test. However, due to the capacity of our rooms and the required ‘social-distancing’ requirements under CMCO, we could only accommodate candidates from Level N1. Hence, regrettably we have to cancel the remaining levels (i.e., Level N2 to N5) in Penang. Your kind understanding would be very much appreciated.

N1 Candidates for Penang

  1. Support letters will be prepared and emailed to you within a week. If you have not received it by Wednesday November 25, 2020, please write to casee343ster@gmail.com.
  2. Your kind cooperation in complying strictly to our SOP would be highly appreciated.
  3. Those who wish to withdraw from sitting the test, may apply for a refund completing by the withdrawal form ( https://forms.gle/QcVBF9DukHh5rCUL6 ).

We were equally as disappointed as you are over its cancellation. However, we sincerely seek your kind understanding that this decision was made to ensure that your safety is not compromised. We look very much forward to your participation again next year.
