New Class Commencement: 26th April 2022 – Advanced Class (N3)

A new online Advanced (N3) class will commence on Tuesday, 26th April 2022. Lessons are twice a week, on Tuesdays (8.00 – 9.30pm) and Sundays (10.00am – 12.00pm). Please note this is an online continuation class for existing students. Please contact our Society’s office during our opening hours (7.00pm – 9.30pm on weekdays) to register and pay the fees in full. New Class Commencement: 3rd January 2022 – Advanced Level (N2)

A new Advanced (N2) class will commence on Monday, 3rd January 2022. Lessons are twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays (7.30- 9.30pm). This is a hybrid class but first class will be face to face. To ensure you have a seat, please visit our Society’s office during our opening hours (7PM – 930PM on weekdays) to register and pay the fees in full. Class sizes are now limited to 17 persons on a first-come-first-serve basis in order to ensure adequate social distancing as mandated by current Government guidelines.  For more information you may refer to our FAQ for general course details and other related information.

New Class Commencement: 2nd September 2021 – Advanced Class (N3)

A new Advanced (N3) class will commence on Thursday, 2nd September 2021. Lessons are twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays (8.00- 9.30pm). For detailed registration and payment instructions, please email casee343ster@gmail.com. Only students who have paid the fees in full are considered to be registered. Instructions on how to collect course material will be provided by your instructor upon registration confirmation. Please note that failure to settle the fees by the end of the first lesson will result a forfeit and the seat will be offered to the next eligible applicant. This is an online class with the option to switch to face-to-face if conditions permit in the future. You may refer to our FAQ for general course details and other related information. Note: in the event the MCO is prolonged, expect all lessons for this intake to be online.

Memo regarding resumption of lessons

Based on the trajectory of current MCO developments, the Society has decided to allow resumption of classroom activities starting March 8th, 2021.

If you are already an enrolled student, your teacher will be contacting you in due course regarding the specific date of resumption.

For prospective students looking to register for new intakes, please look out for our announcements, which we will publish after 28th March, 2021

Announcement Regarding Resumption of Lessons at PJLS

We are pleased to announce that starting 27th July 2020, the Penang Japanese Language Society will be resuming lessons on premises. In adherence to government regulations, all students are requested to register their names, contact numbers, and body temperature at the office every time before proceeding to their respective classrooms. Students are also reminded to obey “new normal” social distancing measures. Wearing of masks is encouraged. Moving forward, new intakes will have enrollments not exceeding 20 persons. For students of existing classes which already have student enrollments that exceed 20 persons, please make sure you contact your respective teachers to rearrange the lesson times to meet the 20 person max per session criteria.
