A new Elementary 1 class will commence on Thursday, 30th July 2009. Lessons are twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays (8.00pm – 9.30pm). Please contact the Society to register or obtain more details.

Bon Odori Festival 2009
The 2009 Bon Odori will be held on 18th of July 2009 at the Esplanade. There will be dances, drum performance as well as fireworks display. Enjoy various aspects of Japanese cultures from music, dances, food and drinks to costumes. Please contact the Society for coupon booklets available at RM20 each.
2009 Penang Japanese Speech Contest (日本語弁論大会)
The 2009 Penang Japanese Speech Contest will be held on the 8th of August 2009 at the Caring Society Complex (Kompleks Masyarakat Penyayang). Please contact the Consulate General of Japan to register or obtain more details (Tel. No. : 04-2263030). The closing date for entries is the 25th of July 2009.
This year’s contest will be divided into 3 categories:
1. Open: For all members of the public
2. Student: For school students
3. Open Undergrad: For individuals presently studying in a local institute of tertiary education, who possess a minimum proficiency of Level 2 in the JLPT
